Method
- Add the raspberries and simple syrup to a shaker, and muddle until the berries are broken down.
- Add vodka, lemon juice, and egg white (if using).
- Shake without ice for about 15 seconds if using egg white (this is called a dry shake).
- Add ice and shake again until well chilled.
- Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice, or serve straight up in a coupe if you prefer.
- Garnish with a lemon wheel or fresh raspberries.
Notes
- If you like your drinks on the sweeter side, increase the simple syrup to 1 oz.
- For a cleaner presentation, you can double-strain through a fine mesh sieve to catch raspberry seeds.
- The egg white is optional but makes the drink feel a little more classic and gives it a beautiful foam. If you’d rather skip it, the flavor will still shine.
