Apple Cider Margarita

A crisp, autumn-inspired twist on the classic margarita, blending tequila, tangy apple cider, and a hint of warm spices for a refreshing yet cozy cocktail.
Prep Time 10 minutes
Course: Drinks

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces tequila (blanco or reposado)
  • 1 ounce orange liqueur (Cointreau or triple sec)
  • 2 ounces fresh apple cider
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz simple syrup or agave Optional: If you like it a little sweeter
  • Ice
  • Apple slices or lime wedge (for garnish)
  • Cinnamon sugar or coarse salt (for rimming the glass)

Method

  1. If you want a rim, rub a lime wedge around the edge of your glass and dip it in cinnamon sugar or salt.
  2. Fill a shaker with ice and add tequila, orange liqueur, apple cider, lime juice, and simple syrup/agave if using.
  3. Shake well for about 15 seconds until chilled.
  4. Strain into a glass filled with ice.
  5. Garnish with an apple slice or a lime wedge.

Notes

  • Fresh apple cider makes a noticeable difference in flavor. If you can’t find fresh cider, try to avoid heavily processed versions with added sugar.
  • Adjust sweetness to taste; some ciders are naturally sweet, so you might not need extra syrup.
  • For a slightly warmer fall vibe, a small pinch of ground cinnamon or nutmeg on top can complement the flavors without overpowering the drink.
