Pineapple Margarita

A bright, refreshing margarita with tequila, lime, and pineapple juice, perfect for casual gatherings or warm evenings.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces tequila (blanco or reposado)
  • 1 ounce triple sec or Cointreau
  • 2 ounces fresh pineapple juice (or muddled fresh pineapple)
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup (optional, depending on pineapple sweetness)
  • Ice
  • Pineapple wedge or lime wheel, for garnish
  • Salt or sugar for rimming the glass (optional)

Method

  1. If rimming the glass, rub the rim with a lime wedge and dip into salt or sugar. Set aside.
  2. In a shaker, combine tequila, triple sec, pineapple juice, lime juice, and simple syrup with ice.
  3. Shake well for about 15 seconds until chilled.
  4. Strain into a glass filled with ice.
  5. Garnish with a pineapple wedge or lime wheel.

Notes

  • For a stronger pineapple flavor, muddle 2–3 chunks of fresh pineapple in the shaker before adding the other ingredients.
  • Adjust the simple syrup based on how sweet your pineapple juice is; fresh juice often doesn’t need extra sugar.
  • This can also be blended with ice for a frozen version.

A pineapple margarita is bright, approachable, and easy to make with just a few ingredients. Fresh juice really makes a difference, but even bottled juice works in a pinch. It’s a versatile drink that feels tropical without any fuss.
